British oak is a highly durable timber that can withstand outdoor weather with minimal maintenance and without the use of chemical treatments that cause long term damage to the environment. As such, it is the timber of choice for most of our creations and we are proud to produce oak structures that are visually appealing, durable, and functional. As demand for our constructions increased, we found ourselves faced with the dilemma of finding a reliable source of British oak that could handle our level of demand in the time frame we needed it. To solve this problem, we decided to become a British oak supplier and now operate an oak sawmill that supplies the UK market with sawn green oak.

Quercast Sawmilling: A British Oak Supplier

We opened our oak sawmill in 2017 and have been supplying British grown green oak to the UK market ever since. We mill our wood in Norfolk and offer delivery across the UK.

Our sawmill is capable of cutting up whole tree trunks into almost any thickness that you could need. At the smaller end of our cutting capabilities, we regularly cut 100mm featheredged board, 5mm at the thin side and 15mm at the thick side, however we can handle extremely large cuts as listed below:

• Cut Length: Up to 6.1m in standard form
• Max Cut Size: Up to 254mm x 254mm (10” x 10”)
• Max Double Cut Size: Up to 254mm x 508mm (10” x 20”)
