Concrete hide to get a natural wooden extension
The RSPB Bowling Green Marsh Hide is about to get a more natural makeover.
This is our latest nature hide project – the conversion and extension of the RSPB Bowling Green Hide in Topsham, Exeter.
The old masonry hide became too crowded at times and we are modifying, extending and building a visitor and tuition area. With an external decking and landscaping to the area around the hide, it is intended that the area will be fully disabled accessible. With full height viewing panels the hide will offer panoramic views over the nearby wetlands and will be suitable for use all year round.
Work has only just started and construction is due to be completed and the new hide open by August 31st 2014 – We’ll be updating this post with pictures and news as development continues.
