How Nature Reclaimed Morden Hall

02 morden hall park grand opening national trust property boardwalk and viewing platformsWhen we install a boardwalk – or any structure for that matter – we do so with the long term goal of creating a timber structure that fits subtly within the natural environment. This involves the softening of the hues visible on the structures we create and ensuring that nature is allowed to flourish around our creations.

Last year we installed an extensive boardwalk with viewing platforms and pond dipping platforms at Morden Hall. We’re proud of what we made, knowing that it will be around for years to come, and it was opened with an enjoyable ceremony.

Fast forward to 2018 and we went back to visit the site and see how everything was looking. To our delight – and expectations – it was fitting perfectly into nature. The hues of the wood had dramatically softened and aquatic plants were flourishing every way we looked. With the collection of boardwalks, viewing platforms, and pond dipping platforms, this area can now be enjoyed by all. Below are a few images taken from our site revisit.
